Restrictions on State Road 28 starting on or after April 11 near Frankfort for intersection improvement project

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions starting on or after Tuesday, April 11 on State Road 28 in Frankfort. This is in connection to Phase One of an intersection improvement project, near the intersection of County Road 200 W. The inside lanes of S.R. 28 will be closed in each direction. The outside lanes will remain open, separated by barrels and/or a barrier wall.

This phase will last through mid-May, weather permitting. Then, the restrictions will shift to the outside lanes to allow for construction in the inside lanes. INDOT will notify the public prior to additional restrictions and/or closures.

This contract was awarded to E & B Paving, LLC for over $2.4 million. The entire contract is expected to be completed after early July, weather permitting.

INDOT urges motorists to slow down, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
