Restrictions announced for I-69 construction

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces restrictions on I-69 for concrete pavement restoration and a bridge deck overlay.

Crews are scheduled to begin the work on or after April 3. The project is expected to end by mid-November. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

Crews will be working on I-69 from just south of State Road 26 to just north of U.S. 35/State Road 22. Work on the interstate will be done in phases which will alternate between lanes. As part of the phasing, from approximately April 3 until April 18, northbound Exit 255 and southbound Exit 259 will close. The exit ramps will close again approximately at the end of May.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
