State Road 234 closing on/after Sept. 22 for culvert work in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 234 is closing on or after Thursday, September 15 between County Road 875 W. and Co. Rd. 1000 W. for culvert work. It's expected to reopen after mid-November, weather permitting.

The official detour follows S.R. 341 to S.R. 32 to S.R. 47 and back. 

This project was awarded to Crackers Demo., L.L.C. for over $1.8 million. It also involves culvert work on U.S. 41 in Parke County, U.S. 136 in Montgomery County, and S.R. 71 in Vermillion County. The entire contract is expected to be completed by May of 2023.
