Westbound U.S. 12 to be closed for NICTD Double Track work

PORTER COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for westbound U.S. 12 west of State Road 249 beginning on or after Monday, July 25. 

The westbound lanes of U.S. 12 will be closed to replace several NIPSCO poles and conductors/wires for the NICTD Double Track Project. This work will take approximately two weeks to complete. 

Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will utilize State Road 249.
