State Road 912 to have lane closures for bridge work
LAKE COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Superior Construction Co will begin three bridge deck overlay projects on State Road 912/Cline Ave between U.S. 12/20 and 169th St/15th Ave on or after Monday, June 13.
State Road 912 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and lane closures will alternate through multiple phases of construction. Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns in the area. Bridge deck overlays are preventative maintenance projects that prolong the life of the bridge. Work will be ongoing through early November.
During phase two of construction, the ramp from southbound State Road 912 to eastbound U.S. 12/20 will be closed. The detour will be to continue south and utilize the ramps at 169th St/15th Ave to take northbound State Road 912 to eastbound U.S. 12/20.
INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
