I-94 to have lane closures for bridge work in Porter County

PORTER COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor F.H. Paschen, S.N. Nielsen & Associates LLC will reduce I-94 to two lanes in each direction over Willow Creek and CSX Railroad on or after Sunday, June 5 for bridge work.

I-94 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between the State Road 249 and State Road 51/U.S. 6 exits, with alternating lane and shoulder closures. Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns in the area. This preventative maintenance work will be ongoing for approximately four weeks.

INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
