State Road 2 to be closed in Lowell for railroad work
LAKE COUNTY, Ind. - CSX Railroad plans to close their crossing on State Road 2 in Lowell between Washington St and Harding St beginning on or after Monday, September 13.
State Road 2 will be closed for approximately five days in this location while CSX repairs gauge and rail. Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow U.S. 41, U.S. 231 and I-65.
