Lane Restrictions Scheduled for

Bridge Painting Project In Evansville

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for I-69 in Evansville.

Beginning on or around Saturday, July 31, contractors will close one lane of I-69 as crews begin a project to paint the overpass at Oak Grove Road, just south of the interchange at Morgan Ave. During the operation one lane will be closed to allow for containment equipment to be set up. Crews will work in one lane at a time and shift once painting is complete in that lane. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times with barrier wall set up in the work zone.

Work is expected to last until the end of August depending upon weather conditions. During the project open lanes will be restricted to 16-feet. Wider loads should seek an alternate route using the nearest numbered state, U.S. or Interstate routes.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
