Railroad Work Begins on S.R. 18. S.R. 9 in Grant County
Two roads to be closed to allow Norfolk Southern to rebuild the crossing

GRANT COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that two road closures are taking place in Grant County to allow Norfolk Southern to rebuild the railroad crossings. Work will take place in the following areas:

• S.R. 18 eastbound, between South McClure and South Shunk streets, is tentatively scheduled to reopen by Thursday, April 18, weather permitting. The official state detour is S.R. 15 to S.R. 22 to I-69.
• S.R. 9, in both directions, is tentatively set to close on Monday, April 22, between North Washington Street and North Lagro Road. The road is expected to reopen by Friday, April 26, weather permitting. The official state detour is S.R. 5 to S.R. 218 to S.R. 9.
