INDOT Awards Bridge Rebuilding Contract on Fortville Road over I-70

HANCOCK, Ind. – Halverson Contraction Company Inc. was awarded a $2.3 million contract from the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) for bridge work on Fortville Road over I-70.

The bridge is located 1.3 miles west of SR 9. The contractors will be replacing the bridge, which will require the contractor to close Fortville Pike for the project. Traffic will be detoured via County Road 200 North, County 300 North and State Road 9 to access Fortville Pike.

The closure and project will begin on or after April 1 and should be completed by the fall.
