State Road 39 Chip Seal Preservation in LaPorte County

Crews will chip/fog seal and rehabilitate roadway

Chip Seal

State Road 39 will be closed between U.S. 35 and the Indiana Toll Road, near LaPorte beginning Wednesday, July 19 and running through Thursday, July 20. Crews will perform a chip seal and fog seal operation to preserve the road surface. Please note: this project is dependent on dry weather and may be delayed if conditions aren’t ideal.

State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. During working hours, drivers wishing to travel south on State Road 39 will be detoured west on U.S. 20, southeast on U.S. 35 and back to State Road 39. Drivers wishing to travel north on State Road 39 will be detoured northwest on U.S. 35, east on U.S. 20 and back to State Road 39. (Map Attached)
