State Road 2 Closure for Railroad Crossing Repair in
LaPorte County

Railroad Company to renew and repair railroad crossing in LaPorte
The Indiana Department of
Transportation (INDOT) announces the closure of State Road 2, between
Philadelphia Street and Bosserman Street Wednesday, June 7 through Wednesday,
June 14 for railroad crossing repairs. Chicago South Shore Railroad Company will
close State Road 2, only at this location to replace and repair the crossing
surface. The schedule of this work is subject to change in the event of
inclement weather.
State road detours must be along
state-maintained roadways only. Drivers traveling east on State Road 2 will be
detoured north on U.S. 35, north of State Road 39 east on U.S. 20 and back to State
Road 2. Drivers west on State Road 2 will be detoured west on U.S. 20, south on
State Road 39, south on U.S. 35 and back to State Road 2.
