State Road 26 Resurfacing project begins Tomorrow

Contractor will be patching and resurfacing the roadway

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces a resurfacing project on State Road 26 will begin tomorrow Thursday, August 11.

Milestone Contractors, L.P. was awarded the contract for $3.8 million.  This project will patch and resurface S.R. 26 from the Warren/Tippecanoe County line to just west of U.S. 52.

Some of the work will involve lane closures with flagging operations.  The contractor will also close short sections of the roadway periodically for work between the hours of 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m.-6 a.m.  These closures will be between county roads and publicized.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the middle of November of this year.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.
