Electronic payments and payment plans
Make your electronic payment on time
The deadline to pay your state income taxes is on the horizon. It's important to make sure you have all the required documents to file. There are options to securely pay your taxes online, including a payment plan.
The INTIME Guide to Making a Tax Return Payment walks you through the payment process with or without logging in. To avoid penalties, be sure to make your payment in full on or before Tax Day, April 15, 2024.
Payment plans on INTIME
If you’re unable to pay the total amount by April 15, you can set up a payment plan on INTIME, DOR’s customer portal, if you owe more than $100. The amount owed determines the maximum length of time allowed for a payment plan.
To set up a payment plan, you’ll need to log in to INTIME. Follow the guide for setting up your payment plan for help.
Automatic recurring payments are scheduled from your payment method, so you don’t have to worry about missing a due date. You can also set up a plan prior to the tax filing deadline to help reduce penalties and interest on the balance.
Customer Service
DOR Customer Service representatives can also help set up payment plans by phone or in person. Call 317-232-2240, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ET or make an appointment to visit one of DOR’s District Offices.
When a payment plan is established with Customer Service, you will receive a voucher each month to make payments. You can mail in your voucher with payment, call or visit a district office to pay with cash (exact change only), personal or cashier’s check, money order, or a credit/debit card.
