LaPorte Promotes Sergeant to Lieutenant
LaPorte, Ind. - On June 27, 2021, Antonio Christensen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant at LaPorte Juvenile Correctional Facility. Antonio has been employed with the Department of Correction for 10 and a half years. His starting date was December 6, 2010 at Indiana State Prison. Antonio then transferred to Camp Summit Boot Camp in 2015 as a Warrant Officer. In November of 2017 Camp Summit Boot Camp changed its name to LaPorte Juvenile Correctional Facility and switched from housing teenage males to teenage females. Antonio was then promoted to Sergeant in 2018.
He also served in the Army National Guard from 2007 to 2017 and was medically retired. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009 to 2010.
