Daviess County Resident Climbs the Ranks at WVCF
Carlisle, Ind.- Laura Robertson started her career at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) as a Correctional Officer in June 2018. Less than a year later she promoted to Release Assistant IV and began her journey into the Classification side of corrections. Since that time, she has taken numerous courses to acquire the skills necessary to meet the demands of the Classification Department, including release processing, offender classification, security coordinator training, Indiana Parole Board designee training, and sentence computation. Laura also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from Indiana State University (ISU).
Classification Supervisor Matt Leohr said, "We are happy to announce Laura’s promotion to Classification Specialist III. Laura demonstrates the best of the IDOC. We look forward to her further accomplishments in the IDOC and her growth as a leader in the Department and our community."
