Purdue Skills for Success Partners with

Indianapolis Parole and Three Area Employers

Indianapolis, Ind
. - On April 2, 2021, the Purdue Skills for Success Program graduated twenty-three (23) parolees from the Indianapolis Parole District. This two-week program is designed to teach participants valuable manufacturing skills that will help them find and retain above average paying careers.

Participants in the program, which is free to both the parolees and the Parole Division, receive an OSHA 10 Certification, a MSSC Production Technician Quality Credential, and a Purdue University Certificate of Learning.

During the two-week program, three (3) area employers: Renewing Management, Aero Industries, and Standard Change Maker Inc., gave presentations to the class to recruit them for possible employment opportunities. All the graduates have interviews set up and have professional resumes provided by the DOC HIRE program.

As a result of these valuable partnerships, the graduating participants will have the skills to start their manufacturing careers with opportunities for career advancements.
