Services for Lt. Eugene Lasco

 

Michigan City, Ind. - The funeral for Lt. Eugene Lasco, with full honors, will be on Sunday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. (Central Time) at the Orak Shrine, 3848 N. Frontage Road, Michigan City, IN, 46360.

For media who wish to attend, a staging area will be designated in order to respect the family’s wishes for privacy. Captain Don Weilhammer will work with members of the media when they arrive for the service on Sunday, and will stage them according to their needs and to adhere to the wishes of the family.

A short ceremony to remove and transport Lt. Lasco's body to the burial location in Decatur, IL, will start around 8:00 a.m. (Central Time) on Monday, March 1, beginning at Root Funeral Home, 312 E. 7th Street, Michigan City, IN, 46360. Then a full uninterrupted police escort will ensue to the burial location, at which time there will be a small, private ceremony and flag presentation.
