After 30 Years of Dedicated Service
Officer Don Eger Retires
Branchville, Ind. - Deputy Warden Dan Mitchell and Captain Jerry Ammon recognized Custody Officer Don Eger for his 30 years of dedicated service. Officer Eger signed off today for the last time among congratulations and best wishes from peers, coworkers, and administration at Branchville Correctional Facility (BCF). Captain Jerry Ammon said, "Officer Eger gave 30 years of outstanding service to the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC)."
Officer Don Eger began his career with the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) at BCF on February 4, 1991, as a uniformed Custody Officer. Officer Eger has served his entire 30-year career at BCF in uniform. He has on numerous occasions sought out resources for new and veteran staff members. Officer Eger's strong work ethics, presence, visibility, and dedication to his duties, and responsibilities and the Indiana Department of Correction are unwavering.
His most recent posts have been outside the fence at BCF, but his career has included working the yard, working in the Restrictive Housing Units, and Residential Dorms. Officer Eger, knowledge, ingenuity, dedication, and professionalism will be missed by all that worked with him.
