Training Officer Appointed to Correctional Lieutenant
at Indiana State Prison
Michigan City, Ind.- Warden Ron Neal is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Wilson to Correctional Lieutenant at the Indiana State Prison.
Charles began his career with the Indiana Department of Correction in December 2008 as a medical assistant. In August 2009, he transitioned to a Correctional Officer. Charles became a Field Training Officer in 2011 and he has completed various additional training to include: Basic Supervisory Course, IDOC Supervisory Training, Firearms Training/Certification, Quick Response Team, and the IDOC E-Squad / ERO Academy. He has been an active member of E-Squad for over a decade. In his spare time, Charles enjoys darts, visiting museums, and spending time with his children.
Warden Neal said, “Charles has demonstrated that he will be a great addition to the supervisory ranks at ISP due to his experience(s) in the Facility Training Department as well as Emergency Response Operations. I look forward to working with Lt. Wilson in his new capacity as Lieutenant! I believe that he will bring some newfound knowledge back to the Custody Ranks”.
