Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility Announces Staff Promotions
Pendleton, Ind. - Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility's (PNJCF) Warden Mike Minthorn is pleased to announce the promotions of Lavonne Roberts to Correctional Internal Affairs Officer 3 and Kevin Miller to Maintenance Supervisor 3.
Mrs. Roberts started her IDOC career at PNJCF in August of 2015 serving first as a secretary and later as a community involvement coordinator. In September of 2018 Lavonne transferred to the Investigations & Intelligence department as an Intelligence Analyst. She became an Investigator and the Security Threat Group Coordinator in September 2019. She has completed testing to attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to become a Correctional Police Officer. Mrs. Roberts additional trainings and certifications include Investigations and Intelligence Basic Certification Training Academy; The Reid Technique of Investigative Interviewing & Advanced Interrogation Certification.

Mr. Miller started his IDOC career in October of 2014 as a Maintenance Repair II and was later promoted to the position of Maintenance Foreman I in September of 2016. In these positions he worked in metal fabrication, plumbing and electrical maintenance. Mr. Miller stated, “I am looking forward to learning all duties of a Supervisor that can further my knowledge and help my staff as well as the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility”.
