Announces Staff Promotion
Carlisle, Ind. - Please join Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) as we congratulate Christopher Holcomb on his promotion to Correctional Lieutenant.
Lieutenant Holcomb began his career with the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) on June 19, 2000, as a correctional officer at the Putnamville Correctional Facility. He transferred to WVCF in 2001. During his time as a correctional officer at WVCF he worked a variety of posts ranging from the Secured Control Unit (SCU) to the South yard. In 2015 he was promoted to the rank of Correctional Sergeant. As a sergeant he displayed the ability to manage a diverse offender population.
Lt. Hocomb is certified as a Quick Response Team (QRT) member, a Certified Treatment Specialist (CTS), a Field Training Officer (FTO), and a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) member.
Deputy Warden Frank Littlejohn said, "Lieutenant Holcomb comes with a vast array of knowledge which gives me complete confidence in his ability to lead his fellow staff in the daily operations of the facility."
