Maintenance Supervisor Retiring
Pendleton, Ind. - Warden Mike Minthorn and Deputy Warden Christian Blakey recognized the retirement of Gary King who served as the Maintenance Supervisor for the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility. Gary started his career with the IDOC as a Welding Fabricator Maintenance Foreman 1 in June of 2000. He was promoted to the Maintenance Supervisor position in 2012, the position he held until his retirement this after more than 20 years of service.
As part of the recognition for his years of service, Gary was presented with a flag by Warden Minthorn. This particular flag was flown at the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility and was retired from service the same day of Gary King's retirement.
In retirement Gary plans to finish remodeling his home, spend more time boating, and spend even more time spoiling his grandchildren.
