Fish & Game Club Receive

Donation From Prison Program

Greencastle, Ind. - Putnamville Correctional Facility staff and offenders worked together to coordinate the donation of 20 refurbished bicycles to the Montezuma Fish and Game Club. The club, established in 1932, has a track record of local community support.

Jay Norris, President of Montezuma Fish and Game Club, stated; “I thought about a way to help the local kids in the community, especially since the pandemic, so I contacted Brady Moss at the prison since they have the Shifting Gears program.” Norris concluded, “This opens so many doors for us to give to kids who may not otherwise had a safe bike to ride, or maybe have never had a bicycle.”

Montezuma Fish and Game Club is a great organization that really gives back to their community and we are happy to provide for the Club, especially since they contribute much to the community”, said Deputy Warden Timmy Phegley of the Putnamville Correctional Facility. “It is our commitment to give back and we appreciate the work the Fish and Game Club does in the community.”
