Pendleton, Ind. – Counselor Jalyn Whiteaker received a $2,000 Supply Scholarship from the Correctional Professional Assistant Fund of Indiana (CPAFI). CPAFI is a charitable foundation that provides assistance to employees of the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) as well as aid to contract employees of the Department. All donations to the foundation come from private sources with no taxpayer support.
Jalyn Whiteaker was presented her Fall 2020 Supplies Scholarship by Warden Mike Minthorn. Ms. Whiteaker will be pursuing a degree in Spiritual Mentorship while attending Atlantic University. Ms. Whiteaker began her career at Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility as a Psychiatric Services Specialist 3 in Feb 2019. She was later promoted to a INSOMM (Indiana Sex Offender Management and Monitoring) Counselor with Liberty Healthcare Corporation at PNJCF in August 2019. Ms. Whiteaker stated that, “I very much appreciate this award.“
