Announces Staff Promotion
Carlisle, Ind. - Please join Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) as we congratulate Tawni Miller on her promotion to Administrative Assistant 4.
Tawni began her career with the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) as a Correctional Officer at WVCF on October 30, 2017. During her time as an officer she gained a vast array of knowledge working a variety of housing units in general population. For the past two years Tawni has primarily been assigned to the Secure Confinement Unit (SCU). This assignment gave her the opportunity to sharpen her people skills as she interacted with a more challenging offender population.
Tawni received training as a Quick Response Team (QRT) member and also as a Restricted Housing Unit officer. Tawni has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Human Resources.
“It’s always a pleasure to have a member of our staff seek more challenges to broaden their career experience.” said Warden Frank Vanihel. “I have high expectations of Tawni and look forward to seeing her excel in this new assignment.”
In Tawni's new role as the Facility's Grievance Specialist and Tort Claims Investigator she will be responsible for processing offender grievances and tort claims.
