Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility Announces, "P.R.O.P.S." Award Winners
Pendleton, Ind. - Warden Mike Minthorn of Pendleton Juvenile Correction Facility, in collaboration with Staff Development and Training are pleased to recognize the following staff as "P.R.O.P.S" (Peers Recognizing Others Providing Support) Award Winners. The P.R.O.P.S. Award is a way to give a “Shout Out” to a co-worker who has encouraged teamwork and just made things a bit better for staff.
First to be recognized is Clerical Assistant Kenneth Eads.
Erika Hobson stated, “Eads is always willing to help anyone in need. He does this to the detriment of his own health. He does not get enough praise for all the hard work that he does. He is always the go-to person when you need help. As a secretary, you do not always receive the recognition that is deserved for all the work that is done behind the scenes to help the facility and his supervisor succeed. Please select him for this award because he truly deserves to be recognized.”

Next is school Principle Christopher Stilwell.
Elizabeth Ulrey stated, “Principle Stilwell is always going above and beyond his job duties. He makes extra effort to check on his staff often and see to their needs. He has cleaned most, if not all, of the classrooms during lunch time by himself, during the coronavirus. He is a leader that leads by example and doesn't just talk the talk. He also cares about our students and helping them in any way he can. I like having a Supervisor that I can respect and want to emulate. He is also flexible and understanding.”
Leanna Smith stated, “He is a positive leader and backs up his staff. He can be a little scary at times, since he follows rules to the letter, but is fair.”
