Key Contributors Awards Presented at Edinburgh Correctional Facility
Edinburgh, Ind. - Warden Bryan Dobbs, in collaboration with Commissioner Carter and Staff Development and Training, recognized three contract staff at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility as recipients of the Key Contributor Award. Key Contributors are contract staff who work together with facility staff to provide essential services, and demonstrate exceptional teamwork. Key Contributors go above and beyond what is required, ensuring successful operations at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility.
Oakland City TASC Instructor Marcia Bandy
Marcia Bandy, the instructor for the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) has been recognized as a Key Contributor at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility for her dedication to providing essential education services at the facility. Ms. Bandy went above and beyond by making an individualized packet based on each student's needs. Ms. Bandy had the packets delivered to students to study while waiting for classes to resume.

Food Service Administrator Kelly Akers has been a Key Contributor for her dedication to provide meals to the offender population. Ms. Kelly has helped her team and the facility by adapting to several changes in procedures. From changing how meals are served to help the population adhere to social distancing recommendations, to changing menus to increase offender moral, Ms. Kelly and her team met every challenge and provide seamless delivery of essential meal services to the offender population. Wexford Nursing Supervisor Dawn Sholders has been selected as a Key Contributor for her extraordinary work at Edinburgh Correctional Facility. Dawn is always a team player, working well with custody to provide collaborative care to the offender population. Dawn keeps in close contact with the Health Service Administer to ensure she and her team are always staying up to date with the latest health and safety information.
