Warden Recognizes Miami Correctional Facility Staff

Bunker Hill, Ind. –  As part of the Correctional Professionals' Week, which concluded this past week, Warden Bill Hyatte recognized more than 40 staff members of the Miami Correctional Facility.  Recognition pins were presented to staff who have served from five to 30 years of dedicated service. This year's recognition event was all the more poignant in light of the pandemic effecting all aspects of a correctional officer's duties.

Warden Hyatte commented, “We typically do much more to recognize our staff during Correctional Professionals' Week, but circumstances related to the pandemic required a change in our plans; so it gave me great pleasure to present longevity pins and recognize these professionals of whom so much is asked of in their service to Indiana.  I'm grateful to have such experienced staff who are able to mentor and train those who will follow in their footsteps."
