Correctional Industrial Facility Recognizes a Silent Hero
Pendleton, Ind. - Facility sanitation has reached a new level at the Correctional Industrial Facility (CIF) since the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes new hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility, cleaning and sanitizing twenty four hours a day in the offender housing units and sanitizing areas after every use or meeting this is just a few of the increased measures being taken.
One of the primary individuals responsible for this is CIF's Sanitation Supervisor Sergeant Josh Kelley; Sgt. Kelley was recently honored by Commissioner Carter as one of IDOC's Silent Heroes.
Serving as the facility's sanitation supervisor Sgt. Kelley has always been reliable and exceedingly effective in this position. Whether preparing for an ACA audit, official visitors or as of late supervising the unprecedented level of sanitizing and cleaning in the facility due to COVID-19. Sgt. Kelley has always ensured that these duties are discharged quickly and effectively.
Warden Wendy Knight commented, "Sgt. Kelley can always be counted on for a great job; now more than ever his contributions in this area are immensely important. I am proud of his commitment to the team."
