Training Officer Appointed at Indiana State Prison
Michigan City, Ind.- Deputy Warden Jason Nowatzke announces the appointment of Charles Wilson to Correctional Training Officer at the Indiana State Prison.
Charles Wilson began his career at the Indiana Department of Correction December of 2008 as a medical assistant. In August 2009 he transitioned to a correctional officer. He has been an active member of E-Squad for over a decade. He became a Field Training Officer in 2011. In 2012 he was promoted to Sergeant and Lieutenant in 2016. He has completed various additional training such as Basic Supervisory, Department of Correction Supervisory, Firearms, Quick Response Team, and E-Squad academy. In his spare time, he enjoys darts, visiting museums, and spending time with his children.
Deputy Warden Nowatzke stated, “Charles has demonstrated he will be a great addition to the Training Department with his experience with the emergency teams and supervisory training. I look forward to working with Charles”.
