Updated Event Advisory: Diwali Festival
CARMEL, Ind., Oct. 22, 2025 - The universe (and the weather forecast) had other plans for our original date, but you can't keep a good celebration down! Celebrate the Diwali Festival of Lights Thursday, Oct. 23 at Carter Green from 5 - 9 p.m.
We’re ready to light up the night and celebrate the triumph of light over darkness and good over...bad weather! All are encouraged to join.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
PARK & WALK - CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Thank you to Carmel United Methodist Church for permitting the use of their parking lot. This location is conveniently located walking distance from the festival.

ROAD CLOSURES
3RD AVENUE SW
From 4 p.m to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, the southbound lane of 3rd Avenue SW will be closed to vehicular traffic.
The northbound lane of 3rd Avenue SW will be open to vehicles.

MONON GREENWAY UNDER CITY CENTER DRIVE
If you plan to walk or ride your bike to the event, please note that Phase 3 of the Monon Boulevard expansion requires the closure of the Monon Greenway at the tunnel under City Center Drive.
The detour route is shown in green on the map and is accessible by pedestrians and cyclists only.
