'Everyone Deserves Their Morning Sun' Movember Kick-Off
WHAT: "Everyone Deserves Their Morning Sun" - Annual Movember Kick-Off
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 1, 9 a.m.
WHERE: The roundabout at North Range Line Road, Lowes Way and Clay Terrace Boulevard with public art piece "Morning Sun"
WHO: Carmel Fire Department, Chief Joel Thacker, Councilor Rich Taylor
DETAILS: The Carmel Fire Department invites the community to join them for their third annual “Everyone Deserves Their Morning Sun” Movember Kick-Off event. On Saturday, Nov. 1, the roundabout at this intersection will be transformed into a living symbol of courage and hope. As part of the Movember movement, this event will highlight the importance of men’s health, including prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health and suicide prevention.
This isn’t just a fundraiser — it’s a moment for our community to pause, remember and stand united to show that no one fights alone. The "Morning Sun" sculpture, one of Carmel’s most recognizable landmarks, will take on new meaning Saturday morning. Hundreds of flags, each available for a $5 donation, will fill the roundabout, representing survivors, those currently fighting, loved ones lost and supporters who believe in brighter tomorrows.
