INDOT Level Up 31 project begins construction
CARMEL, Ind., Oct. 1, 2025 - The City of Carmel encourages all residents and commuters to review the latest news release issued by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) regarding the Level Up 31 project.
This is a multi-year, state-led project by INDOT to enhance the I-465/U.S. 31 interchange. Although not a City of Carmel initiative, it will significantly impact local traffic flow, particularly near the 106th Street and U.S. 31 corridor.
Phase 1 construction is scheduled to begin on or after Monday, Oct. 6 and includes key closures such as the southbound U.S. 31 ramp to 106th Street and the closure of eastbound 106th Street under U.S. 31.
