Diwali Festival of Lights at Carter Green

WHAT: Diwali Festival of Lights 

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 18, 5 - 9 p.m.

WHERE: 10 Carter Green, Carmel, Ind.

WHO: Mayor Sue Finkam, Carmel City Councilor Dr. Anita Joshi, Diwali Committee

DETAILS: The public is invited to gather at Carter Green, a new location for 2025, for the second annual Diwali Festival of Lights.

Diwali, one of the most popular festivals in India, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy, featuring vibrant decorations, the lighting of lamps and the sharing of sweets among family and friends. 

Features this year:

• Diwali-themed huts featuring food and items for purchase from more than 20 vendors
• Live dance, musical and artistic performances on the main stage throughout the duration of the event
• Kids art and activity area
• Exclusive Palladiscope show at the end of the festival

The Diwali Committee is dedicated to ensuring that the celebration is a true representation of the community’s values and traditions.
