City of Carmel Memorial Day Ceremony

WHAT: City of Carmel’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony to remember those who paid the ultimate price in service to our country. Free and open to the public.
WHEN: Friday, May 23 at 9 a.m.
WHERE: Carmel Clay Veterans Memorial Plaza across from The Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts. (Rain location: The Studio Theater at 4 Carter Green)
WHO: Mayor Sue Finkam and City officials will be joined by the following:
- Artist Development Studio - Delila Seals and Marrialle Sellers
- American Legion Post #155
- Darin Bibeau, Veteran/CEO/Podcast Host/Author
- Carmel Fire Department Honor Guard Pipe and Drum Band
- Carmel High School Musicians - Kennedy Abernathy, Eline Kline, Gwen Stacey, Connor Suduth
- Carmel Mayor's Youth Council - Grace Krumsee and Kate Krumsee
- Carmel Middle School Choir directed by Trisha Scheidies
- Crossroads Entertainment - Don Farrell and Tammy Anderson
- George Davis, Chaplain, Carmel Police Department
- Keynote speaker Dan Hinze, First Sergeant (Retired) 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne)

BACKGROUND: The City of Carmel's annual Memorial Day Ceremony is a special event to honor the brave military personnel who have served and to show our gratitude for the sacrifices they have made. All attendees are invited to Carmel VFW Post #10003 immediately following the ceremony for food, music and fellowship. Veterans eat for free.
