WHAT: The City of Carmel presents the 2025 Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony to commemorate those who were killed and the loved ones who suffered through the Holocaust.
WHEN: Thursday, April 24, noon
WHERE: The Tarkington Theater, 3 Carter Green, Carmel, Ind.
WHO: Join the City of Carmel, Rabbi Benjamin Sendrow of Congregation Shaarey Tefilla and Rabbi Justin Kerber of Congregation Beth Shalom along with speakers and musical performers.
This year's keynote presenter is Graham Honaker, Associate Athletic Director for Development and NIL Strategy at Butler University. Honaker is the co-author of several books including "A Blessing, Not a Burden: My Parents' Remarkable Holocaust Story and My Fight to Keep Their Legacy Alive" that he co-authored with Dr. Alex Kor.
Musical performances will feature cantor Melissa Cohen; the Carmel United Methodist Church Bell Choir; University High School of Indiana Choir and Sadie Cohen, Carmel High School sophomore and Miss Cardinal's Teen 2025.
DETAILS: The City of Carmel Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony is part of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), an international holiday that commemorates the deaths of our six million brothers and sisters - Jews and Gentiles.
