Christkindlmarkt, Ice at Carter Green officially open for the season
Carmel's premier holiday market and ice skating rink celebrated opening day on Nov. 23 welcoming crowds who enjoyed the Christkindlmarkt's traditional German offerings, the annual Holiday at Carter Green event and tree lighting, Santa, reindeer and the first skate of the season on The Ice at Carter Green.

Congratulations to the newest graduates of the Carmel Citizens Utility Academy! This amazing and dedicated group of Carmel residents spent seven Tuesday mornings learning about all the different services Carmel Utilities offers. Shout out to project coordinator, Tara Washington, and all the site hosts for making this a great program.

Send letters to Santa
The holidays have arrived and we are here to help you and your family prepare. Write your letter to Santa and please don't forget to include your name and return address, then drop it in one of our four custom-made mailboxes placed around Carmel for a direct delivery to Santa and his elves at the North Pole.

96TH STREET AND COLLEGE AVENUE - Beginning on or after Monday, Dec. 2, there will be a full closure of the intersection of 96th Street and College Avenue for the month of December for utility work in preparation for the construction of the roundabout at that intersection.
3RD AVENUE SW - As a reminder, during the Christkindlmarkt's hours of operation, 3rd Avenue SW will be open to northbound traffic only. Signage will be in place to indicate the traffic adjustment. You will also notice that the free Holiday Trolley will begin service that same day and will be available at the dates and times listed below.

Since 1967, the Carmel Fire Department (CFD) has delivered food and gifts to families in need in Carmel. Every year, CFD, with support from the Carmel community, has assisted hundreds of needy families during the holiday season.

Carmel Police Department is calling upon our amazing teammates and community for support during the holidays with a fundraising opportunity.

A few reminders for the Thanksgiving holiday week:
-Republic Services Trash & Recycling is on a one-day delay for Thursday and Friday customers only.
-Carmel Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Fall leaf and landscape waste removal Now through Dec. 15, each Carmel Utilities/Republic Services residential customer home is allowed up to 20 bags/bundles (four feet or shorter bundles) of landscape waste pick up per week, free of charge.

Colts Away Game Watch Party cancelled
The Colts Away Game Watch Party, presented by Bud Light, scheduled in Midtown Plaza for Saturday, Dec. 1, has been cancelled due to expected low temperatures that would make it unsafe and uncomfortable for guests to remain outdoors for extended periods.

Santa Tours are underway! Each tour time will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Follow the schedule below and watch for Santa and friends in your neighborhood.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Clay Township Government Center Garage, the Carmel Department of Community Services and Yard & Company hosted a Home Place Sub Area Plan Open House event that had more than 50 attendees throughout the evening. The event is one of several opportunities for gathering community input to inform the development of the Sub Area Plan which will be amended into Carmel’s Comprehensive Plan.
