Live or work in the Home Place area? We want to hear from you!
Carmel adopted its new Comprehensive Plan in December 2022. A critical component of that plan is to create Sub Area Plans throughout the city. Home Place is one of the first Sub Area Plans to be initiated. While the Sub Area Plan will be amended into the Comprehensive Plan, this planning process will establish an even deeper understanding of Home Place’s needs and opportunities while reinforcing the community’s unique character. It will be a plan for and by Home Place. This effort started in late April 2024 and will continue through the summer and early fall. Along the way there will be multiple opportunities for you to stay in the loop, provide input and get involved to shape the outcome and what comes next for Home Place.

News from The Center for the Performing Arts
New sound, lighting systems installed at Palladium
CARMEL, IN - A new era begins at the Center for the Performing Arts with the installation of new, state-of-the-art concert sound and lighting systems at its flagship venue, the Palladium.
Opened in 2011, the elegant concert hall features interior architecture designed to optimize acoustic classical music with a minimum of electronic amplification. The Center’s original production team spent the first few seasons reconfiguring the modest sound system under the remaining construction budget to an adequate level that has supported performances over the past decade.
Now, for the first time, the 1,500-seat hall has a custom-built PA system designed from scratch to handle the full range of performances presented there, from spoken word and chamber music to rock, pop and country bands with drums, amplified instruments and stage volume levels that can create challenges for sound engineers.
