Join us at 3 p.m. today to Move with the Mayor in front of the Gazebo at City Hall for our one-mile walk with Mayor Sue Finkam from City Hall along the Monon Greenway to the Carmel Arts & Design District.
May is National Holistic Health Month and a great opportunity to shed light on the intersection of Mental Health Awareness Month, High Blood Pressure Education Month, National Stroke Awareness Month and World Hypertension Day. Participating in physical activity with others can help foster social connections while improving mental well-being by reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.

City of Carmel hosts annual Memorial Day Ceremony
Please join us for our annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Friday, May 24 at 9 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Plaza. Each year we honor the military men and women who lost their lives in service to their country. In the event of rain, the ceremony will move to the Tarkington Theater.

14 Carmel swimmers qualify for Olympic trials
Indianapolis will host the U.S. Olympic swimming trials from June 15 to 23 at Lucas Oil Stadium and the City of Carmel will proudly have 14 local swimmers participating.
Carmel Clay Schools has 38 consecutive State Championship titles in Girls Swimming. These accomplishments along with the excellence of the Carmel Swim Club have made huge *splashes* and allowed the Carmel community to produce a number of potential Olympians.

HAZEL DELL PARKWAY AND 106TH STREET - Starting Tuesday, May 28, one lane each way on Hazel Dell Parkway will be closed as the construction of the roundabout at the intersection begins. |

Landscape pick-up from Republic Services Republic Services trash and recycling residential program in Carmel will conclude its household pick-up of up to 20 extra bags or bundles per week of landscape, at the end of this month.

Trash and recycling holiday schedule
A friendly reminder from Carmel Utilities that, due to Memorial Day, there will be a one day delay of Republic Services trash and recycling service the week of May 27.
Please also note that the Carmel Household Hazardous Waste site will be closed from Saturday, May 25, until it reopens on Tuesday, May 28.

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation hosts Adaptive Sensory-Friendly Swim events
At Sensory-Friendly Swim events, individuals with disabilities and their families are invited to splash the night away without the noise and crowds.
Pre-registration is required. Each event is from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. for $20 per family (only one member per family needs to register.) This link takes you to the registration website.

Movies at Midtown
Head to Midtown Plaza on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Movies at Midtown presented all summer long by Allied Solutions, on the big screen. Showings are at noon and 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and 6 p.m. on Thursdays. This link takes you to the 2024 movie schedule.

Bike Carmel Family Fun Ride Bike Carmel launched its first Family Fun Ride of the season on Saturday, May 11 at Carmel Elementary School. City of Carmel, Rollfast Cycling Club and everyone's favorite bike mascot, Spokes, welcomed more than 60 participants for a bike ride, games and activities. Read more about this event at this link.

All public meetings take place in the Council Chambers in City Hall, unless otherwise indicated. Public meetings are broadcast live on Carmel TV and YouTube .

CNAN June Meeting Carmel Neighborhood Association Network (CNAN) Meeting Thursday, June, 6 p.m. *Carmel Police Department Headquarters, 3 Civic Square *Please note this is a new meeting location Coffee sponsored by Carmel Caffeine Trail participant Just Love Coffee Cafe. Light refreshments will also be served.
CNAN continues to be one of the best ways for the City to share information about City departments and services while addressing the concerns of neighborhood association presidents' networks.
