The Carmel Fire Department has received Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for meeting the criteria established through the CFAI’s voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program for a third time.

Summer Camp Series registration opens today
Registration for Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) Summer Camp Series opens today at noon. CCPR offers 13 traditional and specialty full-day camps for ages 5-15. Camp types range from nature to arts to sports and more. Each week campers will enjoy weekly themes, hands-on activities, field trips or guest speakers and trips to The Waterpark or splash pads

Community Sensory Day this Saturday
March is Disability Awareness Month and the Carmel Advisory Committee on Disability (CACD) has planned events and initiatives to celebrate. Saturday, March 2, head to Midtown Plaza for Community Sensory Day:
- Free snack items, courtesy of BraunAbility
- Giveaways and sensory activities
- CACD video screening at 10:45 a.m.
- Enjoy a movie with closed captions at 11 a.m.
- Virtual Art Exhibition launch at 1 p.m.
We will share additional events and activities in the coming weeks.
The Carmel Advisory Committee on Disability and the Carmel Arts Council will present their annual Virtual Art Exhibition and are taking submissions from Carmel residents with disabilities.

Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council accepting applicants
The Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC), engages high school students in Carmel with the many facets of local government.
The group, comprised of 25 to 35 students who reside in Carmel and attend local high schools, has the shared goal of making a tangible impact on the city during their time in high school. The CMYC, with the support of local government and civic leaders, plan, organize and implement opportunities and events that allow Carmel youth to develop valuable and transferable leadership skills and organizational knowledge.

CNAN March Meeting
Carmel Neighborhood Association Network (CNAN) Meeting Wednesday, March 27, 6 p.m. Carmel City Hall, Council Chambers (Second Floor) Light refreshments will be served. CNAN continues to be one of the best ways for the City to share information about City departments and services, while addressing the concerns of the neighborhood association presidents' network.

Carmel Utilities Water and Sanitary Sewer charges reflect a rate increase passed in the 2023 rate ordinance.
