Mayor Finkam selects Mary Jo Rothenbush to serve as Executive Assistant
CARMEL, IN - Mayor Sue Finkam announced that Mary Jo Rothenbush will serve as Executive Assistant, starting Monday, February 19. A life-long resident of Central Indiana and a seasoned administrative professional with extensive experience in municipal government and health care, Rothenbush will serve as a key liaison between the Mayor’s Office and the community and support all calendar scheduling and appearances at community and civic events.
“I am thrilled to have someone of Mary Jo’s caliber and experience on my core team. The role she will play in my administration cannot be overstated, and our executive team is looking forward to working with her,” said Mayor Finkam. “The City of Carmel is lucky to have her on board.”
Rothenbush’s prior experience includes serving for eight years as Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Lawrence and as the Blue Star Banner Coordinator, a quality-of-life program honoring active-duty men and women and their families, where she was responsible for planning and hosting events with military dignitaries and coordinating sponsorships with local businesses. Prior to her public service, Rothenbush spent nearly 30 years in administrative roles within the healthcare industry, including at Community Hospital North.
“I’m honored for the opportunity to serve in Mayor Finkam’s administration, and work with the City of Carmel’s citizens and communities. I’m excited for what the future holds,” said Rothenbush.
