Mayor Finkam announces leadership team
Monday, January 29, Mayor Sue Finkam announced the composition of her leadership team. It includes 11 individuals who have previously served the City of Carmel in an official capacity.

Additional appointments, including a chief of police to succeed retiring Chief Jim Barlow, chief financial officer, corporation counsel and executive director of economic development will be made in the coming weeks.

February 9 and 10
Will City Engineer Jeremy Kashman and the Roundabout Heroes get a win again at this year's Hometown Hero Olympics? Bundle up and cheer on this team and your favorite City of Carmel Hometown Heroes on Friday, February 9 at The Ice at Carter Green.
Saturday's event features friendly competition on the ice as businesses and individual teams vie for the win. The winners will choose a Carmel-based organization to receive proceeds from the registration fees.

Celebrate the Earth, through art
Carmel Green Initiative would like to invite students in grades kindergarten through eighth to enter the 2024 Earth Day Art Contest. Art entries will be displayed at several community exhibits to inspire our community to live more sustainably. All entries are due by no later than 5 p.m. on February 16.

In the event of a major snow or ice storm, Republic Services Trash & Recycling service may be delayed.

Please be aware that any news broadcasts concerning trash service with Republic Services in Indianapolis or other communities may not apply to service in Carmel.

Carmel Utilities is proud to present the Carmel Citizens Utility Academy, providing insight to the public on the responsibilities and operations of Water, Wastewater, Trash & Recycling and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal services.
Spots are filling up quickly for the spring 2024 seven-week session that begins March 5 so be sure to register soon!
