Carmel Citizens' Financial Report now online
CARMEL, IN - How much tax revenue does the City of Carmel receive? Is it all from property taxes or income taxes or something else? Where does that money go?
Those are the kinds of questions that are answered in the Citizens' Financial Report for 2022, which the city has posted online. The 20-page report is a comprehensive look at the financial picture in Carmel, but is presented in a condensed and more graphic format.
“It is important to be transparent about how we choose to invest the tax dollars generated by our local residents and businesses. This report will help the public better understand the impact we are making by investing their dollars wisely,” said Mayor Jim Brainard.
