Brews on the Boulevard is Saturday!
For a full list of breweries, vendors, and musicians that will be present at this Saturday's event, click here.
Brews on the Boulevard, brought to you by Allied Solutions, returns to Carmel’s Midtown Plaza and Monon Boulevard. Bring a friend and enjoy beer sampling from breweries in the Carmel area and across the state. In addition to the sampling, beer and wine will be available for purchase to patrons 21 and older. There will also be live entertainment, food trucks and more!

Calling all teen artists!
Carmel Cortona Sister Cities Committee sponsoring new art contest to honor Renaissance painter Luca Signorelli
Attention young teen artists! The Carmel Cortona Sister Cities Committee has launched a contest for artistic painters ages 14-19 who can create a piece of art that pays honor to Luca Signorelli, an Italian Renaissance painter from Carmel's Sister City, Cortona, Italy. On the 500th anniversary of Signorelli’s death, a highly anticipated “Signorelli 500” exhibit has been planned in Cortona and the young artists of Carmel will have their winning selections included alongside of others in Cortona.
Cash prizes will be paid to the winning artists. The works will be judged here in Carmel and the first-place winner will receive a $200 cash prize. Second place will receive $100 and third place will receive $50. Winning artwork will also be displayed in Carmel.
Who was Luca Signorelli? The artist is a much celebrated and revered citizen of Cortona. The students from Luca Signorelli Higher Education Institute of Cortona filmed, wrote and produced a video about the artist. This link takes you to the video.

Traffic and Construction Updates
111TH STREET AND SPRING MILL ROAD ROUNDABOUT - 111th Street between Illinois Street and Spring Mill Road is closed for the construction of a roundabout at the entrance to the Bridges development and the Spring Mill Place neighborhood. This roundabout is being constructed by a developer and not the City of Carmel.
3RD AVENUE SW - Construction is underway on 3rd Avenue SW between Autumn Drive and 2nd Street SW. The road will be closed for approximately 18 months. Access to businesses along 3rd Avenue will be maintained for the duration of the project.
News from Hamilton County Highway Department
146TH STREET BETWEEN GREYHOUND PASS AND COOL CREEK COMMONS - Beginning on or after Monday, July 31, 146th Street between Greyhound Pass and Cool Creek Commons will be under lane closures for pipeline and curb work. The estimated project completion date is Monday, August 21. The contractor will first close the inside lanes of eastbound and westbound 146th Street, then move to the outside lanes. Please drive with extreme caution through this construction zone.

Midtown's Got Talent auditions open through August 12
Join us for the fourth annual Midtown’s Got Talent event presented by Allied Solutions. We are looking for talented and entertaining vocalists and musicians, age 10 and older, with stage presence and charisma. Contestants selected by judges based on their video auditions will compete in youth, teen or adult categories. The judges are searching for participants who can “wow” them with their audition tapes and entertain live audiences at the event at Midtown Plaza. Contestants will be competing for up to $500 in cash prizes.

Join the Shops at Carmel City Center on Saturday, August 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a Summer Sip & Shop event.

The Carmel Police Department (CPD) invites you to join them for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Carmel Gazebo at City Hall. National Night Out is an annual campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. CPD will again be hosting a centralized event with free food, activities and fun! Police and Fire Department employees will be there to talk about safety and answer questions about their jobs, equipment, and vehicles.

Fall 2023 Carmel Citizens Utility Academy - Registration Now Open!

The fall class begins September 26, 2023, and will meet for approximately two hours, every Tuesday morning, for seven weeks (please note no session on October 10 due to Fall Break).
