NEW 4-WAY STOP ON MAIN STREET

CARMEL, IN - The City of Carmel has added two stop signs for traffic going east and west on Main Street at Veterans Way. That makes this a four-way stop. The signs were placed today, July 13, 2023 by the Carmel Street Department.

City Engineer Jeremy Kashman said an increase of construction activity in the City's central district has led to this temporary measure in the Carmel Arts & Design District.

"There is a lot of pedestrian activity at the intersection, as well, and we felt it was best at this time to make the change for safety," said Kashman.

The change takes place immediately.
