Carmel’s roundabouts improve the safety and quality of life for residents and businesses
The City of Carmel and its citizens have a new tool to explore how the City’s nationally-recognized network of 145 roundabouts has vastly improved traffic flow, allowed motorists to spend less time in their vehicles and – most importantly – has resulted in historically low rates of crash fatalities and injuries. The City worked with a team from Community Data Platforms who analyzed data to determine the impact of implementing the roundabouts and making them the dominant method of handling traffic in Carmel, as opposed to the traditional use of traffic signals and stop signs.

Carmel’s Parkwood Development lands a new corporate presence
Bradley Company, one of Indiana’s largest commercial real estate brokerage firms, has announced its plans to establish its new headquarters in Carmel, at the Parkwood office park on the north side of 96th Street and College Avenue. This move comes after decades of working from South Bend. Bradley employs 320 people across seven offices in Indiana and Michigan, including at least 95 employees based in central Indiana. In addition to its brokerage services, Bradley manages more than 4,400 apartment units and 11 million square feet of commercial space. It’s the 12th largest commercial property management company in central Indiana according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

City of Carmel snow removal, sidewalks, paths, trails
The City of Carmel would like to remind all residents, property owners and business owners that it’s important to keep your sidewalks clear of snow and ice. Carmel is a city that embraces a spirit of walkability – whether that is for a walk to school, the grocery store or just to get out and exercise during these frigid winter months.
Help us continue this tradition of keeping our community walkable, no matter what the weather holds. Please shovel your sidewalks or arrange for others to help, so that your friends and neighbors can continue to make their way – safely – around the city. Click here to read the full news release.
