Carmel Winter Games takes over The Ice at Carter Green
CARMEL, IN – It is time once again to bundle up and head to Carter Green for ice-cold competition and fun at the Carmel Winter Games on the city’s ice rink, brought to you by Allied Solutions. Whether you are signed up to compete or are a spectator, you won’t want to miss two days of non-skating competition Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11 at The Ice at Carter Green.
What kind of competition? “Human curling” on inner tubes, an ice trike relay and "human hungry hippo” using laundry baskets to fetch hundreds of bouncing balls!
The annual event kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. with the Hometown Hero-Olympics featuring good-spirited competition among a number of City departments including employees with the Fire Department, Police Department, Street Department, Community Services, Engineering and Parks and Recreation.
On Saturday, the skate-less competition on ice begins at noon and will feature corporate teams and teams consisting of family and friends. In addition to Saturday’s action on the ice, The Ice at Carter Green will feature a live DJ and a ‘Meet the Mascots’ session on the ice.
