CARMEL, IN – A new sculpture that captures the essence of “love eternal” was unveiled Thursday, December 1, along the Monon Greenway at City Center, bringing to life an image created by a Carmel artist to celebrate the eternal value of love.
Officially titled “LoveEternal,” the sculpture is placed near Carter Green and provides a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to take photos and “selfies” of loved ones as they visit and experience downtown Carmel.
“This sculpture is a beautiful addition to City Center and Carter Green, where hundreds of thousands of visitors come to experience our city throughout the year. I hope many generations will see this as an inspiration to create their own artistic ways to express the love they feel in their own hearts,” said Mayor Jim Brainard.
The artist, jamoore, has used this unique design to sign letters, greeting cards and other correspondence to friends and loved ones through the years. This sculpture fulfills a promise he made to his late wife to share this unique, original symbol that features a heart linked to the infinity sign.
“I hope that all who see and interact with it, are blessed with the miraculous healing and joy of LoveEternal,” said the Artist, who lives in Carmel. “I encourage everyone to live with LoveEternal and believe that true love can last forever."
The City of Carmel also encourages visitors to take photos and share them on social media using the hashtag #LoveEternalCarmel so that the rest of the world may understand the beauty and passion that was put into this piece of public art.
The City’s ongoing commitment to the arts creates opportunities for artists to share their talents with the community, while also serving as a powerful economic development tool and cultural attraction.
