Carmel boosts safety on Main Street
Roundabouts, new median, raised pedestrian crossings coming this summer near CHS
A busy stretch of Main Street in front of Carmel High School and the new Library building will see major changes this summer. The City of Carmel, Carmel Clay Public Library and Carmel Clay Schools have been working closely together to develop a plan for these new intersections to slow traffic and enhance safety at crosswalks used primarily by students.

Water Efficiency Day - February 5
Carmel Utilities and our WaterSense partners at the United States Environmental Protection Agency remind you that Saturday, February 5, is a national day to exercise water efficiency through your shower usage. We hope you celebrate the day by practicing and educating others on the importance of water efficiency.
For example, if each residence in Carmel eliminated one shower on this day (or equivalent water volume), the approximate reduction in usage is close to 1.3 Million Gallons. That's enough water to fill the Carmel Utilities 146th Street Water Tower twice!
